It looks like no one chimed in on this becasue no one has a good asnwer
(the usual reason, mostly we would all chime in if we had a perfect or
near perfect fix!)>

I only have the DtxpressII, and most of the hat samples are stick-click
impact sounding. As a possible suggestion, you could try assigning a
"foot close" sound to the pad and see if that could make something
simular to what you're looking for. Again, Sorry for the delay in
response... :)
