Just an FYI:

I have a pair of AKAI noise-canceling headphones that I use and they work
very well at cutting the "tika-taka" pad sounds, however, if you like to
play with a fan on you, make sure the fan doesn't blow on the electret
mikes on the outside of the phones, cause it makes LOUD thunder sounds
since it tries to cancel what to it appears to be very loud thunder! :)
