Hi Chris, I assume that you're using the KP65. A felt pad is generally recommended for rubber but not for mesh. Until we can dig more deeply into the problem, the obvious solutions to doubles are lower sensitivity/gain, higher minimum velocity, and keeping the beater away from the head when not in use. Conversely, missed beats are a sign of gain too low, min. vel. too high, self-rejection too high, incorrect pad type, and, less likely, exhausted polyphony or faulty note group settings. Have you been tinkering blindly? Ed
