Re: [DTXpress] using PC speakers?

2004-06-02 by Ken

I did it. As a mater of fact I bought a high end set of Yamaha PC speakers/w subwoofer and although they worked, the sound was really terrible. Cymbals and pads weren't bad but the kick drum was really distorted. I packaged them back up and returned them the same day. Believe me, you will not be happy with any PC speaker setup. After buying and returning several different keyboard amps and a bass amp, I finally decided on the Peavey KB2 model. It is awesome for in house playing. Turned up only half way she really thumps with zero distortion and the cymbal sounds are nice and crisp.

Subject: [DTXpress] using PC speakers?

Dear all

I've just bought a DTxpress III and of course i blew the budget..I
was told that i may be able to connect PC speakers with subwoofer to
the output in the interim before i save up enough to buy an amp.

can anyone confirm this?

thanks a lot!!
