Re: [DTXpress] Digest Number 1308

"Ok, I got a pair of those anti-vibe sticks with nylon
tips from
Zildjian...BAD IDEA. I was playing with them and all
of a sudden the
nylon tip just flies of the damn stick! First time
that has ever
happened...and the last time I buy a pair of pos
Zildjians. Only
company's sticks I have ever seen to break on an e
kit."

I have to defend the Anti-Vibes to some degree. We use
them here in our shop and in our kits when we ship
them and to date I've not heard of any problems, out
side of the sticks not being good for a 3 year
old...(you can pull out the Anti-Vibe Plug).
I can safely say we have only had 2 pair break in
house and none from our users (that I've heard from).
As for the Nylon tips, thats not really a stick
break....you can glue the bead back on with a dab of
super glue plus they come off of everyones sticks
sooner or later, so just use wood tip if its a huge
problem. The feel is the same and the sound as well
(as we are all using e kits here). Just a
thought......I felt the need to at least say something
as I've still got the first pair of sticks I got from
them and they are still fine, but I've been told I
play like a girl :)
