Yamaha DTXpress/DTXplorer/DTXtreme

I'm an experienced drummer but very new to e-drumming . I wonder if 
somebody might answer a question for me . How simple is it to set up 
a sampler with the DTXpress II ? And how would one go about this ? 
Does anybody have a suggestions for a good sampler to buy ?
