Does the DTXpress (1) Hi-Hat controller & pad work with an Alesis DM Pro Module?

I ask because I have the DM Pro module, and I'm wondering if I have to look for and buy an Alesis Hi-Hat controller and pad? I haven't tried my Yamaha controller yet with the DM Pro because I have not figured out how to use it! Unlike the DTXpress modules, it seems that I have to program and assign samples to get it going!:/ Steve
