rhh-130 issues (revisited)

2005-04-04 by architiger1

i looked at some past threads and noticed the disscussion about the
rhh130 (how on some you must really mash the pedal to get the closed
sound..which i gather means its defected.)
however, with mine, i get a clean open sound with the pedal open, a
pretty nice closed sound with the pedal closed, then finally
a "choked" sound with the pedal firmly pressed (very similar to an
acoustic hh). Is this a defect, or is it playing correctly?
i kinda like the way it plays, but i wish i didnt have to press as
hard to get the choked sound. (is there a way to adjust this?)

I don't know which module you, though it may not matter. Look in the
index under hi hat for offset (and sensitivity). See whether adjusting
those two parameters lets you control the response of your hat better.
