DTXpress compatible with other pads

Is it possible to expand the DTXpress with other pads from other manufacturers? Some kits have nice snares, so it would be nice to replace the pad with a real-looking snare.

Yes... see Pintech or go to electronicdrums.com to learn about triggering
your acoustic snare, with mesh head if you like!
