Also, remember that any many cases Pintech really only understands
Pintech products and Yamaha only understands Yamaha products and they do
not spend any real time on R&D to make their products compatiable with
other manufacturer's products. It is the exception rather than the rule.
Pintech knows from past experience their products work nicely, without
any tweaking, with certain modules and not so well with others. But it
doesn't mean they won't work with a little tweaking.

In the real world, the folks here ( and other online groups) sometimes
know more about compatiability issue between products of different
manufacturer's than the tech reps on the phone, because of our own trial
and error.

Not to supercede Claudio suggestion of phrasing, but maybe saying, "I
called XYZ company's tech support and they say this won't work, has
anybody here gotten it to work? or are they correct" would have been a
better tact.

I think the concern is that we (as the moderators) see when people join,
when they post and when they quit. I personnally get emails when anyone
joins, posts, quits, adds to the files area to this group and there is a
segment of folks that join, ask a few questions and leaves. If they read
your post and left and did not get the benefit of the follow up posts,
they may automatically write Pintech off their list.

Please don't feel we are "ganging up" on you, and hope you stay around,
maybe someone here can help you out.

Frank, I understand your being upset by Ed's response because you knew
that you had gotten your information from Pintech. Ed did not know this
nor did anyone else by your original posting. I thought the same thing
that Ed did. Who is this guy? How can he make such a claim? How much
does he really know about electronic kits and how to adjust the
different parameters? Next time start off your posting with something
like, "After talking to Pintech directly for 20 minutes I advise
everyone not to use the ConcertCast pads with the DTX Express. Here is
why........"

Sincerely,

Claudio Ortiz
