umm, I think I broke it

umm, I think I broke it

2005-05-04 by NightWolf

I think I broke my PCY65S. I've only had the kit for like a month. Is
it possible to waste a pad in that short a time? I do hit them hard,
but they are supposed to emulate drums for christ sake. Here are the
symptoms: My choke no longer works at all (choking mostly causes a
second hit), my hits get registered at different volumes, if at all. I
plugged my low tom lead into the PCY pad and got the same intermittent
responses. I'm not a drummer, so I think I tend to hit harder. Anybody
else with similar problems? What are the chances Yamaha would pony up
for a new pad, or should I suck it up? Any ideas?

Thanks,
John Nightwolf
