I am not aware of any dual-zone mesh heads that will give you both zones
on inputs 1-8. With Keith's magic box you can plug a dual peizo pad
into inputs 1-8, but it gets a little be tricky in balancing between the
two trigger inputs. And the Magic box is not on the "market" yet.

Yes, but are there any mesh-head pads out there (i.e. Pintech, Roland,
Hart, etc.) that support the DTXpress III Inputs 1 - 8 ?

I've heard that DTXpress III requires the equivalent of an FSR
trigger

(presently).

	Thanks.

OK, so is there a definite answer to how to get a dual-triggered mesh
head snare working on the original DTXpress?

If Keith's magic box can do it, I would be in the market for a mesh-
head snare pad and the schematics for Keith's box.

PS: Cross-sticking, anyone?

Jyrki,

The definitive answer is that dual-triggered pads are incompatible
with inputs 1-8 as constituted; dual and stereo components work on
entirely different principles. Keith's invention may well rectify the
situation, in a way that might work even better in some situations
than the typical dual input, like 9/10, or two separate inputs, since
it will eliminate crosstalk between the two zones, which can be a
drag when crossticking. Two pads ultimately dependent on the same
input on the DTXpress will not make noise at the same time
(crosstalk, however, will still be a consideration between different
inputs on the box). I wouldn't presume to speak for Keith, but the
schematics are a trade secret certainly until we find out whether his
brainchild has legs in the market.
