Single pad drum synth?

Hi, While we're not on the subject: Does anybody know of any single pad type drum synth with MIDI out capability? I saw a retro one a while ago with amazing velocity sensitive filtering and crazy decay but I need to find out if any manufacturers still make these kind of products. I mean, I've seen the yamaha and akai multi-zone controllers but I just need one where it is a SINGLE pad covering like the whole of the top surface of the unit (so I can't miss!).
