Any suggestions on a bass pedal tower that will allow me to use a
double bass pedal??

Well I purchased the Pintech VK-10 pedal, works really well, though I
think mines a bit bust as it triggers to much on one side than the
other, but its very solid, never moves and feels good to play. If you
live in America its not to expensive, though I paid £105 which is a
bit of a rip off, but hey tell me something in Britain that ain't.

I don't know if this will help or not, but if you pry off the plastic
cap at the end of the tube, you may be able to reposition the trigger
inside to get it between the two beaters. I hope this helps.

Does anyone know the best way of making the DTXpress into a double bass
version?

Best
