DTXpress kick drum

Soliciting some thoughts/experiences on somehow mounting a TP60 pad to
the kick tower in order to use a double pedal. Has anyone tried to
attach one? The original kick drum pad is way to small.

Do you have the original one with the small square pad? That's what I have.
How is it set up? did you bend the rods somehow? Any pics of the setup?

My bad, I have the DTXpress III, it came with the
KP65. It's round. My pedals use about 3.25" of surface
on the pad, I use DW pedals with a dual chain setup.
See link:

I could take pics if you think that would help you
out. Looks like it would be a pain, but I think the
spacer could be removed to move the hammers(?) closer
together.

Hope that helps,
John

I know there's a picture in the group of a kickpad that was replaced by
a practice pad....maybe that's the way to go?

Nope, it won't work. The pad is only about 1 1/2" wide.
