DTXpress kick drum

Soliciting some thoughts/experiences on somehow mounting a TP60 pad to the kick tower in order to use a double pedal. Has anyone tried to attach one? The original kick drum pad is way to small. Ken

Do you have the original one with the small square pad? That's what I
have.
How is it set up? did you bend the rods somehow? Any pics of the setup?

My bad, I have the DTXpress III, it came with the KP65. It's round. My pedals use about 3.25" of surface on the pad, I use DW pedals with a dual chain setup. See link: http://www.pacificdrums.com/pdp/pedals/pedals.htm I could take pics if you think that would help you out. Nope, it won't work. The pad is only about 1 1/2" wide.
