DTXpress II Midi setup?

DTXpress II Midi setup?

2006-02-28 by wave158

Hi,

I'm new here, but was hoping to get a little help.

I have tried everything to get a decent midi recording of the
DTXpress into Sonar.

Path:

DTXpress II --> M-Audio Midisport Uno midi to usb interface --> DAW

and

DTXpress II --> M-Audio Midisport Uno midi to usb interface --> midi-
ox / Yoke -->DAW (Sonar)

When looking at the input signal in midi-ox, It read "unknown"... no
channel or note info regardless of what drums I hit.

I did get it to recognize the pad once...then back to "Unknown". I
have tried filters, midi on , midi off info...timing, merge,
channels...I don't know.

I can play a song from the DTXpress sequencer and capture it in
Sonar. It will trigger whatever soft synth I choose. But I can't get
the pads to transmit a recognized midi signal.

I can trigger from Oxygen 8 keyboard, DD55 pads and even my old M1.
All through the UNO.

I have gone through the Manual and Reference guide all no help.

What am I missing?

Thanks,

Nick

The m-audio UNO usb is a piece of SHIT. and i really mean that.
their is alot of issues with it and the dtxpress ii. throw away the
uno piece of crap and buy a yamaha ux16 from musiciansfriend.com. i
cant believe the maudio uno usb is mainstream in guitar centers. that
thing is the biggest waste of $50 ever.
