anybody knows how works the yamaha 3 zone pad?
I've tried to find specific and clear informations about that, and i have understood it uses a membrane switch to commutate the three sound. is it right? if YES, where can i find the membrane switch, how much it costs, and is the circuit of commutation easy?
thanks, sorry for my english! I hope the conceps are clear!

The 3 zone pad works with one piezo connected to the connector tip and
sleeve. Two force sensitive switches are connected to the ring of the
connector, one with a 10k ohm resistor in series. I don't know where
you can buy the switches, which is probably why most people building
their own drums use two piezos instead (to get 2 zones). Have a look
at http://launch.groups.yahoo.com/group/DIY-edrums/ and
