Can you add pads to a DTXpress II without adding another brain???

Shane,

You can add two single zone pads to inputs 9/10, using a Y splitter
cable (2 mono to one stereo cable).

Other than that, the only other option I know of is the DTXpander
circuit I designed - see the files & pictures sections.  That allows
you to use the unused "rim" sounds of existing single zone pads, eg
the toms.  There are limitations, such as you cannot hit a pad & its
rim simultaneously, and the rim inputs are not as sensitive as the
main pad, but it can be useful for adding some percussion sounds or
effects.
