Yamaha DTXpress/DTXplorer/DTXtreme

I play my dt along with a cd player going through my p.a. system. 
lately I've noticed my cd's are skipping. I've taken the player in for 
repairs 3 times.  I've narrowed the problem down to my f tom trigger. 
I've changed the wire and the pad but I get the same result. I have 
even changed the tuning . any suggestions would be appreciated..

Melon,

I think the most likely reason for a CD player skipping while playing
the drums is vibration caused by the speaker.  Does the problem
improve if you turn the volume down?

thanks for your imput keith. the problem has developed just recently 
so I thought it was my player. I'll try toning it down but I'm trying 
to integrate an accoustic set with the e set and balance it 
altogether. no easy task!!!  I'm going to try and contact the repair 
shop and see what they replaced.  I think the laser is just getting 
old and they don't want to replace it
