Pad Song on DTXP 1

Pad Song on DTXP 1

2007-08-01 by tony.holt

Hi Guys

This might sound ridiculous to you but I'm having problems with my
DTXpress 1. I have acquired some MIDI songs which I've tweaked in
Cakewalk and recorded onto the DTXP sequencer. Everything is fine
including the sync, but when I assign the song to a pad on one of my
own kits and try to trigger it as a pad song - nothing. If I dial the
song number back to a pre-set song, it works fine. AAAARRRGGGHHHH!

Any help most gratefully received - Cheers!

Tony

Reposted without the profanity:

Check that you're sending MIDI from your PC
on channels 7, 8, 9 & 10 as they the only ones transmitted in Pad Song.
Then subtract 4 from each and activate those channels too...et voila -
instant Pad Song!!!

Keith.

Keith,

Thanks for eliminating the rudeness. I let it go when I okayed the
post, regretting that I couldn't edit it out directly. I should have
done what you did. But the secondary message in the post is right.
The archives have a wealth of information. Sometimes you don't have to
wait for someone to respond.

Ed,

Thanks for the support. After I did it I wondered if I was being over sensitive, but I like to keep things so I wouldn't mind my neices & mother reading it.

Keith.
