Replacement connection on HH60 unit

Replacement connection on HH60 unit

2007-10-05 by strider_61

Hello. New user here (and also new to the DTXPRESS) so apologies in
advance! I have an older DTXPRESS with HH60 and the connection to the
unit appears to have died. Is it possible to swap out the plug
connection only with these and finally any idea where one might find
one (I'm in Oz) Thanks

I am sure it is possible to change the connector, if that is really
what has broken. However, are you sure that is really the problem?
It is more likely to be the wiring or the piezo. The best thing to do
is to take it apart - you have nothing to lose if it doesn't work!

As for where to buy parts in OZ, I'm not sure. Do you have Maplin,
Radio Shack or Tandy? Newark/Farnell are in OZ
http://au.farnell.com/jsp/home/homepage.jsp but I don't know if they
only supply to the "trade". http://www.wagner.net.au/Home.htm maybe?
RS (Electrocomponents) are another global company which may be there.

Keith.

Before you do anything else...
do a software reset on the dtxpress... you never know what kind of
problems can creep in ...and you don't want to find that out the hard
way!
