Yamaha DTXpress/DTXplorer/DTXtreme

hi guys i'm nes in here and i'm royally yanking my hair out trying to 
make the dtxpress play the triggered sounds off a sequencer

i'm using Cakewalk 9 and my midi intereface has signal present LED's 
that show when packets are doing in a given direction.

I can Play the pads and record them to the sequencer
but when i try playing back i get nothing
when i set my output to the soundcards synth it plays and i hear thw 
gm drums

i See the notes flasing in the interface when they go out it and its 
not my cabling thats a problem

I am sure i have some option wrong in the drum brain making it not 
receive data all the pads are playing on channel 10

could somsone give me a hand here?
