Knees

Hi Before I start, thanks OGD, I believe you helped me out a few times over the years. OK, I was getting kick drum knee pain (well, not pain, discomfort, and I knew the day after if I'd had a heavy practice), just under the knee cap, and I asked my g/f (who was until recently an Occupational Therapist, so not a physio but knows something about something) to sit and watch my knee as I played. The result? Move the kick drum pedal so it's straight on with my leg (and at an angle to the kit, something you can't really do on a normal kit), and .. I did have it pressed against the bottom bar, move it back so my knee is at right angles. That seems to have helped. She said my tendons were inflamed. Also, I'm playing with Facebook as a means to publicise my band, so if any of you have accounts and feel inclined, search for The DTs, currently with 4 fans and a profile pic showing five people, a girl in white at the front (me back right), become a fan of ours. If you have accounts too, let me know I'll fan you right back. There's a tune of ours on there too. Cheers J
