Passing MIDI Signal Through DTXpress to Pro-Verb

Passing MIDI Signal Through DTXpress to Pro-Verb

2009-03-02 by jcfix@att.net

I recently acquired a DTXpress and an MFC1 programmable MIDI
footswitch. I have been able to change kits with the footswitch
(which is great), but I also want to pass the MIDI signal through the
DTXpress to go to an ART Pro-verb unit to change effects with the MIDI
footswitch as well. The DTXpress does not have a MIDI "though", just
"in" and "out". How can I pass the MIDI info through the DTX to my
Pro-verb ? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

JC

JC,

Regulars of this forum will know I am not a MIDI expert, but if you go
to the Utility Menu and find "MIDI Merge" and set it to ON, that may
do what you want. It is in the DTXpress reference manual on page 31.
If you don't have the manuals, you can download them from:
http://www.yamaha.co.jp/manual/english/index.php Just type DTXpress in
the "Model Name" and search.

Keith.

Thanks. I will give it a try later today and hopefully I'll be all set.
