Roland DT-HD1 Tutor software compatibility

As a disclaimer, I just purchased a Yamaha DTXpress IV kit. I was originally considering getting a Roland TD-9 kit mainly so that it would also work with the HD1 tutor software. Does anyone know (and/or have tried) if the DT-HD1 tutor software works with the Yamaha DTXpress IV and if so, what incompatibilities there are (other than the obvious kit diagrams). The main feature I want to use is the capability of the software to "play-along" and track your timing/success on a score notation of midi songs. I've been "playing" for 10 years for fun, so I thought it might be time to learn to read drum score. Thanks
