roland fd 7 to yamaha dtexpress 1 or 3

Could someone show me a website showing how to convert a roland fd 7 hi hat pedal that has a low resistor and change it to a high resistor and make it compatable to the yamaha module.
Thanks in advance for any help

I don't know of anyone having done that. There are posts from people with the same problem http://vdrums.com/forum/archive/index.php?t-6456.html

I know what's inside the Yamaha pedal, but not what is inside the Roland pedal. As well as the resistance difference, the Yamaha pedal has a strange arrangement of a diode and capacitor which I have never determined the purpose of. While a simple switch can be used on the Yamaha (with the addition of a 150k resistor between the tip and ring), I am not sure how successful it is in real use.

You could ask on the vdrum forum http://www.vdrums.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=48 for the FD-7 wiring diagram. I may then be able to tell you if it is possible to make it look like the HH65.

The best solution is really to sell the Roland pedal and buy a Yamaha one.

Keith.
