Why pads not sounding pad songs

Why pads not sounding pad songs

2009-08-10 by s.s.m mario

Hi,

I am new user of Yamaha DTX111. No sound is coming when striking particular pads that are assigned with pad songs in preset drum kits no 31, 32,33,34,37,38.39. But I checked all the pads are working when assigned with other drum voices.

Also when I press the song(edit) button and press the play button no sound is coming.

But the song button LED is blinking.

Can anyone suggest solving these problems?

Thanks and Regards,

Mario

Mario,

This is a guess, but try turning up the "accomp vol" knob. Some of the pads on those kits start sounds which are not "drum sounds" and so are controlled by that volume knob.

Same problem I suspect - turn up the "accomp vol"

Keith,
Thanks very much for your valuable suggestion which solved my both problems. When i increased the accomp volume knob(which was in minimum position), both pads and songs are sounding.
Once again i express my thanks for your excellent contribution to our group.
Thanks,
Mario

Mario,

I'm glad it is now sorted - thanks for letting me know. Unfortunately it is all too easy to lose some sounds or change the settings for the worse without knowing what went wrong - there is so much crammed into the module.

Keith.
