(# in use) << what's this?

(# in use) << what's this?

2014-05-26 by John Allsopp

Hi

So I'm still using my DTXpress III, and this is the first time I've seen
this issue.

In one of my custom kits, I'm trying to set one of the snare rim
triggers to a different sound and it's telling me (# in use).

I seem to be able to choose sounds, without it telling me what they are,
but they don't save.

What's up, what have I done, how do I fix it?

Cheers
J

PS. And if you're in Scarborough, UK on the 5 June (Keith), come yell
for Skandals, at the Battle of the Bands, Tap & Spile, Falsgrave, I got
a kind of man-of-the-match award for the last performance, on this kit :-)

Hi John,

I think this is referring to the Midi note number. See page 20 of the Reference Guide. Try changing the Midi note number for the offending pad - see page 19 1.6 "Note Number".

Glad to hear you are still using the kit. I am afraid I haven't been active drumming for a while, although I did have a spell with the guitar (unsuccessfully).

I will have a photograph on the St Catherine's Hospsice Callendar next year for June though!

Cheers Keith, I'll have a play

Maybe I messed around with that thinking it meant 'note' as in A-G
