Amp recommendations

Thanks for all the responses to my amp question. What is the difference between a PA/Mixer type amp, and a keyboard amp when it comes to reproducing the sound from the drums? Is a keyboard amp really better? Sounds like a 15" speaker is a must. Is there a big advantage to going to 2 speakers instead of 1? Keep those suggestions coming... I'm headed to the store soon!
