hi all...is it best to go for the felt beater or hard beater on the 
kp60...im a newbie to electronic kits, all info gladly recieved

If you look at the recent reply to my post about the KP60, lockhart 
recommends a hard beater to help minimize any dropouts. But I've 
also read at least one post that prefers felt over hard because of 
double hits. I'm using the felt and getting occasional dropouts. I 
may be able to eliminate them with the felt by tweaking parameters, 
but only time will tell. You might run a search through the files on 
KP60 or beaters, etc, for more info. With a little luck, maybe your 
post will get responses about people's experiences. You might also 
consider running a poll on the question.
