Greetings All I am at the moment giving serious consideration to purchasing a DTXpress (second hand unfortunatley as I cant afford a new one) and would really appreciate any advice (good or bad) as to why i should get one of these kits. I am a relatively novice drummer but really want to learn in a closed environment. Cheers B

Five Reasons. 1)Its the least expensive, 2)You can't afford a more expensive one, 3)It's easy to use, 4)this discussion group and 5) it has some great features for novice drummers...Groove Check and Play Along. Good Luck with it Scott __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Try FREE Yahoo! Mail - the world's greatest free email! http://mail.yahoo.com/

And don't let the remark "least expensive" fool you. It's per dollar value is more than twice better than any high-end model in the market. Yes I've checked DTXtreme and V-drums, I could afford the money for them but I didn't buy them. They may be slightly (yes - slightly) better than DTXpress; but at the end you'll get much more from DTXpress compared by the price you pay. You can always add mesh- heads (Roland) or real-heads (Yamaha) to your DTXpress; hell, if 10 inputs are not enough you can buy an additional brain, and at the end you'd still be paying lot less than high-ends. --- In DTXpress@y..., Scott Bettersworth <sgbworth@y...> wrote:

lets not forget a much better than average voice library, and the
ability to customize them to your liking, the 2 track sequencer, the
general midi voices,,the ability to connect to a pc,the list goes on
and on,truly if you've got a chance to buy a set-up,don't sleep on
it,scoop it up!! this is a very versatile drum system for all levels
of experience. plus what better place can you find for the most user
info from people who actually use the dtxpress?? i gain alot of info
from this message board on a daily basis, and the best part about that
is it's real drummers just like you ,and me not a some company rep.
trying to tell you what you wanna hear so you'll buy one of their
drum systems.. so the choice is yours, but i think you would be
missing out on alot if you let the chance pass you by
just my thoughts,
