Sam's rack and trigger system for DTXpress

Sam's rack and trigger system for DTXpress

2002-03-28 by mlosabia.rm

sam(otacon28),

I viewed your new kit in the photos section, and was inspired to go
out and revamp my current setup. The Yamaha rack is just a bit too
flimsy for the punishment that I deal the kit from day to day.

Would you be able to provide a breakdown on what the trigger/pad
system is now? I saw that you had (looks like, anyway) Pintech
triggers w/Evans heads.

Any information would be gladly appreciated.

-Mike

first off thank you for the kind words about my kit(much appreciated)
i spent about the last 14 months doing various #'s of upgrades on it
to get it to where it is at now(between me and walt we've done some
power shopping on ebay lol ) anyways i'm glad to hear that my kit has
inspired you to do some upgrading... as far as the answer to your
questions : first off my trigger set-up is as follows,1 pintech ax-14
picollo snare(14"x 3 1/2"), 5 (soon to be 6) pintech concertcast pads
(1 for picollo snare,3 for mounted toms,and 2 for floor toms.the
pintech cc's have the following heads on them (the 2 floor have evans
generra g1 coated, and the other 4 have mesh heads) also i have 4
pintech dingbats(1 for a splash,2 for crashes,1 for china)and i have
1 pintech nimrod 6 (for cowbell&other percussive voices)and finally
for the pintech gear i have a vk-10 equipped with a yamaha double
pedal for my kick trigger, now as the book report continues i have the
following yamaha gear on my set-up:4 tp-60's( 1 additional splash,1
for a crash,1 for ride bell,and one for hihat)also i have 1 tp-80
(for ride cymbal) plus as you have probably noticed from the photos
(in the album for this group)that i rin my whole set-up through 2
dtxpress modules(1 for the drum triggers, and the other for cymbal, and
percussion triggers)if you still want a little more detail into the
description of my set-up or brands of harware that i use on my rack
system for all of this feel free to email me at reva@...
and i can give you some more specs on my kit..

once again thanks for your interest,
                  sam(otacon28)
