Great tip adding "s038" to toms and kick!

Great tip adding "s038" to toms and kick!

2002-04-12 by rolf_baehr

I tried the tip that "lockhar69t" suggested in adding the "s038"
voice to the toms and kick drums and at least to my ear, it did
greatly improve my kit. It seemed to make those drums sound much
more "natural". I added the s038 to the first set of tom voices
listed on the tom list (not at the set.. can't remember the numbers)
and it was a great improvement! Can't wait to experiment adding it
to other tom and kick voices to see what they sound like as well.

Anybody else try it? Results? What other tom and kick voices did you
add the s038 to?

These kind of tips are great! If anybody has other's I bet we'd all
love to hear 'em. Especially any tricks on cymbal sounds (crash and
ride). Those always need some help - if anybody has had success
making them sound better, please let us know!

Thanks again for the great tip, and keep 'em coming!

Hey Rolf, did you ever buy that MDF3? I was looking for information
about the MDF3 and saw your post. That group didn't last long, did
it? Anyway, because my PC is very far away from my module, I thought
that a used MDF3 or MDF2 would be good labor saving device--I
say "used" because the cost of a new one doesn't make sense for the
sporadic and casual use that I would be giving it. What did you end
up doing?
