Thank you very much! It sure does help.
Today I tried another thing that has me puzzled. I planned to record our
drummer in Cakewalk in order to gain more control over individual sounds on
a recording. So far, no problems with recording. But I cannot make the
module to receive MIDI. Pddly, I played a guitar synth and could make some
nice noises out of it, but couldn't make it recognize the data I played back
from the sequencer.
Is there any mistery to MIDI with this device? I tried with a couple of
sound modules and there was no problem at all.
Any help on this one will be most welcome! I'm not new to MIDI, but couldn't
figure it out yet.

It's set to "MIDI". Now that I downloaded the manual I'll hopefully find it
out!
