ECymbal II

ECymbal II

Has anyone tried Hart's ECYMBAL II series with the DTX. I havn't heard any talk about how they sound or perform. From what i have seen they look good and appear to be a good alternative to cymbal pads.

Hi Glen,

I have, and believe it or not was just getting to ready to put up a
post on my opinion on the HHs. Look for it just after this post.

Thanks Walt,
My birthday is comming up this month and the wife offered to get me some
drum stuff. I had my eye on the ecymbals for a while but never heard much
about them. I cracked both my yamaha Pcy 60 pads that I use as crashes. Do
you Know if the choke circuit with the crash cymbal is a stereo plug or
requires 2 inputs on the module?
Glen

Hi Glen,

I didn't mention it in the post, but I also have a
Hart 14" crash (chokeable) and just picked up a Hart
16" dual ride. I think many of us that have used the
Yamaha cymbal pads have cracked them. The Hart 14"
crash works as great as the HHs, but I have been
working on dialing it the 16" ride for a few weeks
now, and still haven't got it right. I could
recommend the crash with no problem, and hope to be
able to say the same about the ride eventually. The
crash does use a stereo cable, and only needs one of
the stereo inputs (1-8). By the way, I got my crash
from Drumbalaya (www.drumbalaya.com)- they're
excellent to deal with if your wife needs a source for
your present(s).
