MIDI and the DTEXPRESS

MIDI and the DTEXPRESS

2002-07-24 by butterflyride

hi everyone , I need light .
I figured how to change the notes of each pad but I'd like to know
how to do to get each pad played on a different midi channel in the
sequencer. What do I have to change .Right now everything is playing
on one midi channel . To tell you the truth it is a little bit of
luck there, cause I don't know what it is that I have to change .
Also what changes do I need to make so that I here the sounds of the
tone generator playing whenever I play the sequencer . Oh I forgot to
tell you I use Cubase

It is my understanding that this is done in Cubase. You can assign each midi note (ie snare drum) to a seperate midi channel. This is supposed to be fairly simple, although I've never done it. I think that this might be found in the Cubase manual under somthing called CAL programs.
