I am going to be buying a DTXPress this week...I noticed at Musicians Friend they are offering a limited edition model with an extra floor tom. Can anyone provide me any information on this item? Thank you... Dan

Hi Dan, As near as I can tell from their pictures (the descriptions don't tell much, do they!) they are offering either the DTXpress 2002 or the DXTpress LE for $799. Of those two, go for the LE, but check the specs. It looks like it is the rack and pad set for the DTX line combined with the DTXpress I module, but again, all I have is pictures. The Le appears to have the HH80A HH tower, and if the title is to be believed, it should have TP80S dual zone pads for the snare, toms and maybe even the HH pad. The rack appears to be the second of three versions, or could be the rack for the DTX system. Thanks for the reply...I placed my order today. I was able to find out that it comes with the RS80 Drum Rack, DTK10S Pad Set and DTXPU Drum Trigger. The system is not due in until 4 October. Dan --- In DTXpress@y..., Walt <wgardus@y...> wrote:

Dang, that is most definitely a VERY GOOD deal, a much better deal
than the 2002 kit BY FAR!!! Now I totally wish I'd had gotten that
instead of building up my system... Heck, I'll bet you can probably
get that sytem, break it up, sell it on Ebay, and make a profit!
clem..

Hopefully all goes well. I have had some problems with Musicians Friend in the past. I will just have to wait these few weeks out and see if they deliver on their advertisement. Dan --- In DTXpress@y..., "clementpoon" <wifebeater@t...> wrote:

I too placed an order for the DXTpress LE kit from Musicians Friend. I called up to verify the order since the kit was on backorder. The rep I talked to said the kit is discontinued and they aren't getting any more in. After talking with him for a bit, I had him place an order for the pads, rack, and sound module separately (all the same models as the 'package deal'). For the same price. And had to haggle for the free shipping. Give 'em a call! --- In DTXpress@y..., "odkinz" <odkinz@g...> wrote: > Hopefully all goes well. I have had some problems with Musicians > Friend in the past. I spoke with a rep who gave me the same story about the item being discontinued. After futher questioning, I was told it was a mistake on his side and the item was scheduled to come in. The date did change however, from 30 Sep to 4 Oct. Can you tell me whom you spoke with and what the expected delivery of your order is?? Thanks... I don't remember with whom I spoke - I should have written it down! He did tell me that it was due in by the end of the month or soon after. They have the rack in stock, the module is due around the end of the month, and the pads are coming in around October 4. I've worked in a call center before, and I know they try to pad those dates, but I wouldn't bank on it. So I expect to get it by Oct. 11 at the very latest. I've had great luck with them in the past, but I'm keeping my eye on this order! --- In DTXpress@y..., "odkinz" <odkinz@g...> wrote: > I spoke with a rep who gave me the same story about the item being > discontinued.
