DTXpress with Roland KD-7

DTXpress with Roland KD-7

2002-09-20 by clementpoon

Hi all,

I just acquired the Roland KD-7 kick trigger. Does anyone use this
with their module? If so, I am just wondering what are the settings
that you have it set on in the module. I have to specify the trigger
as a "DT Kick 1" in the Trig menu. Otherwise, leaving it as "KP
Kick" creates a double trigger.

Also, is there a reason why this trigger uses a stereo cable? (Hmm,
this may be off topic!)

Thanks!

I just bought the KD-7.. I had to in Seattle because right in the middle of the tour the night before in Vancouver, the damn Pintech Ergokik that I JUST bought decides to stop working. Stay away from the Ergokik. It’s a hunk o’ dookie. So far my KD-7 has rocked straight out of the box. I haven’t had to change anything in the module, I just left it internally as the DT Kick, and it works wonderfully. I was just asking myself the same question about the stereo cable. I really do not know why it is there.
