Formal Request to Moderator

Formal Request to Moderator

2002-10-18 by Walt

Hi Chris,

I am sure you have seen the thread of posts concerning a new user
receiving a virus from wgardus @ yahoogroups.com. While I can
understand how dopmi could think that they came from me, the facts
are that it did not. The note contained part of a response (post #
2405) I posted to post #2400. When I responded to that original
post, I replyed to the group's email address. I sent that reply days
ago, not last night or this morning, and only sent it to the group
address, not a user that I have never worked with before.

Now that we can see what has really happened here, I feel compelled
to request that all of the posts that falsely accuse me of sending
viruses to anyone either be edited to remove the false accusations,
or deleted and replaced with a valid warning message about the clown
who is sending viruses. I can see how dopmi could have confused the
two email addresses - they are similar, but still I feel that it is
not fair that my reputation be blemished because of this confusion.

I would welcome support from members that I have communicated with
before on this request - you all know this is not the type of thing I
would even think of doing. I would certainly hope that I have a good
reputation in this group, and feel justified in trying to protect it.

dopmi, while I am sorry for what you have experienced, I did not do
it, and I hope the responses I have posted show you that. I would
ask for your support on removing or editing the posts with those
accusations in them.

Walt

Hey Walt, if it helps any I would like to say to you
and anyone else in the group that your posts have
taught me alot a of useful information. With the
information you've shared I can trust that you did not
and would not have any intention of sending a virus.
I know my opinion may be brushed aside simply because
I have not been in the group as long as some of you
others have. I would like to post this anyway,
because I know what you have told me and others so far
has been true to the best of my knowledge. -Joe

I am offering my support for Walt. He has supplieded some of the most
helpful information regarding the DTXpress and the DTX that I have
yet to come across. Walt has gone above the call of the average user
and assisted in helping the DTX users obtain copies of the DTX video
manual that is no longer available through Yamaha (he actually
contacted Yamaha and got their approval to proceed). This alone says
a lot about a person who is willing to go to such lengths for his
fellow drummers.

Walt is a great guy, and a great asset to this group... PERIOD!
