Yamaha DTXpress/DTXplorer/DTXtreme

Is it possible to use these pads with an Alesis module? Or some 
other module?

Yes, but I'm not sure how many, if any, of the DM5's 12 inputs can 
take the rim switch of a stereo pad. The DM5 does not have the range 
of input parameters of the DTXPU and other modules (only pitch, I 
think). The hi hat is the open/close type, nothing in between.
