Yamaha DTXpress II speakers?

Yamaha DTXpress II speakers?

2002-12-20 by drummachine24 <drummachine24@yahoo.com>

Does the DTXpress II need external speakers (Stereo?) Or does it
have it's own built in sound source?? My Girlfriend got me one for
Christmas (She's a lil impatient so I got it early) .. It's on order
and we're not sure if we need to get an AMP system for it or
not .... And will any stereo with inputs work .. ??

All you need to play is a set of headphones. If you want to play them
without headphones, you'll need some sort of amplifier. I ran mine
through my stereo, and through a small amp. I wasn't happy with
either solution. I ended up getting a 75 watt keyboard amp, and it's
the ticket! The Fender KX-100 (80w) and the Peavey KB/A-100 (75w) are
both fine amps and should serve you well for very small to small size
gigs. They are both in the 350-400 US dollar range.
