non dtxpress question.....don't yell at me!

sorry to ask a non dtxpress question but this is the only web site where I acually get ansers to e-drum questions(dtxpress or general) sorry, i'l be quick tama techstar ts305... does anyone know what this thing sounds like? I know its old, but does it sound that way? are the sounds salvagable or just cheesy and obsolete? is there a site on the web where they might have sounds of this unit? some kid is selling one for 30 bucks..... also I read on the last digest about the sound cut off problem on the dtxpress and most e- drums.(repeated snare rolls, cymbal crashes) I wonder why most of them still sound like that? it's the biigest way to be able to tell the differance between an e-drum kit and an accoustic if you where to hear both on tape, I would think this to be the first thing to iron out by e-drum manufacturers. has there ever ben a module that didn't do this?? thanks guys..... the scottsman
