Song Recording Of My DTXPRESS

Song Recording Of My DTXPRESS

2003-03-02 by Gary <rock_n_4jesus@yahoo.com>

Hello there. :) I finally got around to making a recording with my
DTXPRESS and my band. This song is completely made up on the spot and
I didn't know what I would sing next nor play on the guitar. I think
music is best made like this...right out of the heart. If anyone
likes the sound of the kit..I can upload an .syx file to the group.
This songs builds middle ways..so don't quit listening cause ya don't
hear any rockin going on..:) Oh..I recorded it on my AKAI 12track
digital recorder and final mixed it here on the PC with Cakewalk Pro
Audio 8.0. Its not profressional..but I think it turned out great for
just on the spot work.

The song is titled "Like The Rain" and is found on the homepage.

Very cool mix! I think it amazing how low cost it is to sound as good as
we can today with the equipment available! I remember making "bounce"
multitracks where the accumulated hiss overpowered the whole mix. Being
able to mix down with a digital 12 track in a bedroom is just astounding!
:)

Here are the toms we used and the parameters.
T/007 DRY GM4 at Left20
T/008 DRY GM3 at Center
T/010 DRY GM1 at Right25

Volume is at 89 on all tom pads
Reverb send is 105 on tom pads
Reverb type is Hall 1 with T23 as the time setting

I added additional reverb on top of that still in the final mix to
get that soaked sound. Thank you for the compliments..this song is
going on a compilation cd already with other various artist. We are
very excited with it. We plan on doing live audio/video broadcasts
this spring for the group.

Blessed,

Gary
