Exporting settings/ Amplification discussion

1999-11-05 by vcrmac@xxxxxxxxx.xxx

Ahhh - have I got the drums muted?? I don't know -
I'll check when I get home from work. Thanks

I've not looked too deeply at the "patch download"
thing we've talked about but I think it can be done
using the Bulk Dump feature in the Utility menu. You
can d/load via MIDI the entire contents of the
DTXpress (which wouldn't be much good as you'd
overwrite everything if you loaded it up). Better is
the facility to d/load a complete drumkit or pad
settings. I think you CAN export a drumkit and then
import it back. I guess I'll have to play around with
it.

Amplification : This is a good discussion. At the
moment, my signal path is DTXpress(phones jack) ->
Mission Cyrus -> Mission 760 speakers.
Needless to say, it sounds excellent. (By the way,
have you found the EQ function ? Double-click the UTIL
button to get to it.)
My problem is when I take the kit down to our practice
room. The amps/cabs there are old and crappy. Yeah,
there are a couple of Marshall guitar amps and a
Peavey bass rig but even these sound awful compared to
the sound I get at home. I guess I'll have to either
wait till we play live (big sound through PA etc.) or
get an amp. What are the specs of this kbd amp of
yours? I have to compete with bass, guitar, keyboard
and 2 vocalists.

;-)
