Yamaha DTXpress/DTXplorer/DTXtreme

Hi, my name is justin and i am 14 yrs old. I have been playin the 
drums for about  a year and a half now. My first drum set was a Taye
(came from TAMA). I still own it now. Anyway my dad bought me a 
dtxpress 2 a couple of months ago and i love it. I would like for you 
guys to please give me some tips about it. Any thing that you have to 
say really. Thank you so much. I will get back to you when i get some 
answers to see if it helped.

Hi Justin,

Nice to have you with us. The obvious joke when someone says that 
they've been drumming for a year and a half is to reply, "Boy, your 
arms must be tired," but I won't stoop that low. This message board 
is a series of never-ending tips. So if you run into any 
difficulties, check the archives or post a question. Answers will 
come. Or if you just want to tell like-minded drummers how much fun 
you're having with your kit, please do. We'd love to hear it. I 
don't know what you're ultimately planning to do with your dtxpress--
play in a band, just practice at home, use it to record with other 
instruments, etc. But whatever it is, you'll find people here with 
similar interests. We also function as kind of a consumer protection 
agency. We have a lot of cumulative knowledge about different 
products, as well as a healthy relationship with Yamaha about 
theirs. We look forward to your participation. Tell us what you've 
been doing with your kit for the last couple of months, and thank 
your dad. It was a really nice thing to do.

Whats up Justin!  Everybody give Justin a welcome!  What ya done 
with your set so far?  Added any pads or anything like that?  What 
are you playing it through?  Thinking about combining the acoustic 
set with any electronics?  Let us know whats up!
