Yeah, I've used the DTXpress on the last two albums
with my band Fluid Power Society. I've used it in 2
ways : recorded directly into Cakewalk using the
onboard sounds and used to trigger samples via MIDI.
I have to admit the onboard sounds came out a little
thin when recorded. The samples looked very "peaky",
ie. very fast attack and decay time. Also they looked
compressed, but I got around this by adding various
effects. They now sound great.
The band's latest release is a double-CD (2 hours of
music). All tracks have got the DTXpress in there
somewhere.
