JP,
*most* hh systems use a stereo 1/4" cable. Usually, what
happens is some manufactuers will send the signal up the tip
while the dtxpress sends it through the sleeve. 

You can *probably* have someone check the polarity difference
between your pedal and the polarity required by the dtxpress.

Here's a schematic of the stock dtxpress pedal.

The rest should be about $10 in Radio Shack parts to 
build an external box to change the polarity, or you 
can re-wire your pintech. It could be as simple as cross
wiring the tip and sleeve in your hh cable.

Others in the group have probably already purchased new pedals
from others manufacturers that work out of the box, but I really
haven't looked myself.
