Scroll down a bit and there's an "Introduction to MIDI" article. You can
also check out a good newstand and there are often one-off magazines for
people who are new to digital recording or MIDI produced by the music mags.
I've picked up a couple of these and they have helped.

Thaks for the link. I was actually on the site looking at the monster Yammy set. Pretty impressive but if I am going to spend that kin of money I would rather by a top of the line acoustic set and add e-drums to it for the added voices.
