Re: [DTXpress] Digest Number 155

Thanks fort the responses. Does anyone have any experience with the Alesis D4 or DM5 as an add on Brain? I'm really surprised that this concept isn't talked about more. As is, the DTXpress is pretty limited for adding any new pads. I've tried tapping the minds at my local music shop, but haven't had any new ideas. I'm basically wanting to add a whole new set of inputs...full stereo inputs that is, so that's why I'd like the extra Brain. I guess there's always the option of adding the next higher level DTXpress brain that I've seen advertized...that should definitely work.....but be a bit pricey! You can buy these little boxes quite cheaply and they convert standard pad trigger signals into a midi output to control other midi devices. I'm not a midi expert, in fact I'm more of a midi dunce, but the principle seems sound, I just don't know how you actually set up the sounds on the DTXpress to relate to the new midi input. > > Maybe a more midi'd up person on the board could suggest how this might work. > > > -----Original Message----- > From: pop.visi.com <bkadrie@...> > To: DTXpress@egroups.com <DTXpress@egroups.com> > Date: 16 September 2000 15:10 > Subject: [DTXpress] Exanding the DTXpress > > > > > > > I have a somewhat similar question to Groovin Bill's. > > Basically, I would like to add new drum pads to my DTXpress.
