Does anyone know if the LMAC-1 Composite Arm Clamp
fits on the DTXpress rack?
I'm looking at
http://www.1ie-drums.com/pads-triggers.htm

Also, are the SilentTech pads much better than the
normal ones?

And..those TC electronic cymbals look cheap...

aaaarrrggghhh. I feel a spending spree coming on...

Giles: I figured that at that price ($9 ea. )I would order
two and see... I believe that there is a standard size for
all these rack parts, but won't know till my order gets
here. (I ordered on line from Musician's
Friend.http://www.musiciansfriend.com/ ) I also ordered mesh
heads (back-ordered till 10/15) for my "spare" acoustic kit
and will use Logiztix plans ( http://www.logiztix.com/stix/
) to mount triggers. Having played a bit on the V-drums, I'm
convinced that "silent" mesh heads feel more realistic and
take some of the impact/shock out of e-playing. I haven't
found 18" mesh heads for my kick yet, but I am looking into
Pearl's Rhythm Traveller heads. I know that
http://www.triggerhead.com/ has 18" but their payment
requirements are a pain!!! ( Never heard of Visa ?) I don't
have a Swiss bank account.

I will let you guys know when my Pintech clamps and heads
get here...

Just checked my original order for the mesh heads: I did
order Pearl Rhythm Traveller heads (black), not Pintech.
Also ordered a couple of Pintechs's "leg braces" to try and
stop the bounce that occurs on the DTXpress rack...

I plan to use the "acoustic" kit for gigs, with real hats
and cymbals. plus some small triggers for fx and switching
kit presets on the fly. (I'll continue to use the Yamaha
rack & pads for neighbour-fiendly practice.) I see some
folks on this list have used the DTXpress for stage use, but
I just don't like the look... I feel naked without a kit in
front of me!
